Mental Health First Aid - Online
MHFA England’s Mental Health First Aid Course can be delivered both online or face-to-face.
The course carries the same learning objectives and content as the MHFA England face-to-face course.
Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based course that qualifies delegates as Mental Health First Aiders. Mental Health First Aiders have:
- An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
- Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
- Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
- Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
- Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support – whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS or a mix of sources
Learning takes place through four live instructor-led sessions, approximately 4 hours eachheld over TEAMs or ZOOM. The four live sessions are spread over a 2-4 week period, making it easier to fit in with other commitments. Each session is built around the Mental Health First Aid action plan and delegates work through case studies to embed learning.

- A workbook including helpful tools to support others’ and their own mental health
